Our self-contained flats at Mersea Court have their own front door opening on to a balcony on the first floor or gardens on the ground floor. A main lift and a stairlift are available to the first floor. Each on bedroomed flat is a separate dwelling and comprises of:

  • a lounge
  • kitchen,
  • bathroom
  • bedroom.

Our studio apartments have:

  • a kitchen,
  • bathroom with a shower
  • lounge/bedroom area.

There is a communal lounge with a kitchen area and conservatory attached, which can be used for social occasions.  There are limited allocated parking spaces, and the storage and charging facilities for mobility scooters has limited availability for those who meet our Mobility Scooter Storage Policy (view policy) Additional parking can be found on the street.

At Akhurst Court, the majority of flats are accessed through the main security-controlled entrances. Other flats open onto an inner courtyard garden or first floor balcony. There are two lifts available to the first floor. The flats here vary in size, our 1 bedroomed studio flats have:

  • a lounge/kitchen
  • ensuite bathroom with a shower
  • bedroom.

Our larger apartments vary in size and can have:

  • a combined or separate lounge and kitchen
  • en-suite or separate bathroom with a shower
  • bedroom.

There is a communal lounge and an adjoining large kitchen, both of which residents can use for social occasions. Laundry facilities are provided. Akhurst Court has extensive landscaped gardens with a summerhouse. There are limited allocated parking spaces, and the storage and charging facilities for mobility scooters has limited availability for those who meet our Mobility Scooter Storage Policy.
