Trustees

All Trustees and Committee Members are volunteers. They have a wide variety of skills and experience, and further new volunteers would be very welcome.

If you are interested in finding out more about joining the organisation in order to provide help and support as a Trustee or Committee Member, please write to the Chair of the Trust, Akhurst Court, Melrose Road, West Mersea, CO5 8JB or via this email (manager@merseaislandtrust.org) or telephone 01206 383706.

Charitable Donations

As a Charitable Trust, Mersea Island Trust is very grateful for any donations that it receives that enable the organisation to improve and develop its premises and services.
Donations are not used to provide any subsidy for rents and housing services. They are maintained in a separate fund and are used solely for improvements to the additional amenities provided for residents.

All donations are acknowledged and the Trust is also able to obtain basic rate tax relief to add to the donation. Occasionally the Trust also receives bequests that have enabled it to make additional improvements.

Donations may be sent to the Trust by submitting them to our Akhurst Court office, alternatively potential donors may wish to contact the Trust’s treasurer to discuss any proposals. Please find details on the Contact page.
